Eligibility Criteria for the 2024 Engineering Entrance Examinations
The eligibility criteria for the 2024 engineering entrance examinations are as follows:
- Students who passed the 12th board examinations in 2022 and 2023, or will appear in 2024, are eligible to appear for the exam.
- Candidates should pass the 10+2 examinations from an established board.
- There is no age limit for appearing for the joint entrance examinations.
- Candidates should qualify in five subjects- Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry/ Biology/ Biotechnology, and one other subject.
Exam Pattern
Every subject and every paper will be in two sections. There will be multiple-choice questions. For paper 1, you will attempt 75 questions out of 90. For paper 2A, 77 questions out of 82, and for paper 2B, 100 questions out of 105. The subjects are as follows:
- Paper 1 comprises Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
- Paper 2A comprises Maths, Aptitude, and Drawing.
- Paper 2B comprises planning-based questions apart from Mathematics and Aptitude.
The full marks for Aptitude will be 200, and the rest will be 100 marks. For every correct answer, you will get +4 and for incorrect answers, -1. There will be no marking for unanswered questions.

The National Testing Agency will release the official dates later. However, the tentative dates for the April session are as follows:
